Design

Model continues from where the concept left, but it seems a little more aggressive and more track-ready. When compared with the base Continental GT, the new GT3 racer around 2,200 pounds lighter and combined with a powerful engine found under the hood, you'll get a real monster on the race track.

The exterior of this car has a comprehensive aerodynamic package, to maximize downforce to drag optimized. A top-mounted carbon fiber rear wing provides rear downforce and stability, while a carbon fiber splitter balances the aerodynamic forces at the front of the car. Revisions have been made to the hood, bumper, fenders and sills to optimize the coefficient of drag cars and to help cool the engine.

With the removal of bark and wood interior trim, electrical systems of production and advanced repair materials that make Continental GT like Grand Tourer capable, Bentley Continental GT3 weighs under 1300 kg targets. Although race-specification, GT3 remains the crafts Bentley, with the steering wheel, door pulls and chairs all hand-trimmed and sewn by artisans Bentley in Crewe.

The design has been completed by a team of specialist engineers from Bentley Motors Continental GT3 is supported by the Technical Partner, M-Sport Ltd. Managed from a special base motorsport facility in Bentley Crewe factory, additional design office created in the M-Sport to stage the detail design and build the first car.

Engine

Bentley Continental GT3 is powered by a race-ready version and dry-sump powerful but efficient 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 Bentley, with many components taken from the road-going machine. Develop up to 600 bhp in race configuration is limited by the engine management system motorsport, V8 provides GT3 with a very competitive power in a compact and lightweight package that is perfect for racing.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a carbon fiber propshaft to Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox with limited slip differential, installed as a transaxle for optimized weight distribution. Actuations gear shift is completed through a pneumatic system, controlled by paddles mounted to the steering wheel.
